Saturday began as another beautiful warm sunny day. Bill however was not feeling so sunny due to a severe back ache, caused by working on the Downey Rose Parade float early this week.
We ventured out for the day to visit the famous Los Angeles Farmer's Market. Again we were able to view the mountains in the background behind the Farmer's Market as shown in the picture above. It was all Bill could do to walk or sit as the pain was unbearable. We enjoyed the market walking the corridors inside the market. It is a great place for people watching.
While the market still has a few stands (more like stores) selling fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood and etc., most of the market now consists of vendors selling ready-to-eat ethnic food including bakeries, pastry and candy shops. There are also t-shirt and postcard souvenir shops, toy stores and the like.
Bill and Pam enjoyed a simple salad with shrimp for lunch.
Later, Roy, Marge, Bill and Pam each enjoyed wonderful Filet Mignon steaks at the Dal Rae restaurant in Pico Rivera, CA.
