Whittier

Sunday morning dawned another delightful warm day.  The temperature was already in the 60's as we drove with Aunt Marge to her church in Whittier.  What a lovely town.  The downtown is very charming with carefully pruned trees lining the streets. 

The mountains could be seen at the end of the street looking from across the church in the picture below.

The Methodist church we worshipped at was a very interesting well-built structure with a european flair. 

After the service we drove to the northern most end of town where the roads ascend dramatically up the mountain.  Below is a view as we returned.

This particular view is to the south.  Earlier we were able to easily spot downtown L.A. to the west.
